A thick layer of the dip, which is a favorite in the Southern United States, is spread across the battered chicken filet to create a messy flavor explosion.

Chick-fil-A’s pimento is made with smoky green chili peppers and sweet roasted pimento peppers, blended with cheeses and seasonings.

The original Chicken Sandwich’s dill pickle chips are replaced with mildly spiced jalapeños and the whole thing is topped with honey for a sweet finish.

The sandwich was released on Monday (August 28) and many rushed to their local store to taste the new burger – and it didn’t disappoint.

Most people really loved it, with one person on Twitter calling it “certified gas” and others saying it’s “pretty stellar,” “smashing” and “elite”.

“Well, I tried it and its probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend,” someone else exclaimed.

“Not the best pimento cheese I’ve ever had by a long shot, but the flavor combination is on point,” another person added.

There were a few negatives, with some people arguing theirs didn’t have enough pimento and others saying it was too messy and sloppy.

However, it looks like Chick-fil-A has mostly smashed it with this one – so head to your nearest one to give it a try!
