Born on May 17, 1935, in New Market, Minnesota, she was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Laura Wermerskirchen. In her early years, Carol met the love of her life, Richard “Butch” Majerus, in fourth grade. Their beautiful journey together led them to exchange vows on August 13, 1955, and they enjoyed 62 remarkable years of marriage. As devoted parents, Carol and Butch raised five daughters and one son, creating countless cherished memories during family outings in their beloved van.

Professional Life and Involvements

Throughout her life, Carol pursued various professional endeavors. She showcased her talents in the bakery at Juba’s Grocery Store, leaving a lasting impression on those who tasted her creations. Later, she ventured into the real estate industry, where she made a significant impact as a dedicated realtor. Carol also contributed her skills as a bank teller before eventually retiring. In addition to her professional achievements, Carol was an active member of the Shakopee Quilt Club and St. Mark’s CCW. Her passion for quilting led her to lead the St. Mark’s Quilting Mission for over two decades, touching the lives of many through her creative and philanthropic efforts.
