Indian Women's Cricket Team Captain List with Photos

Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) is the shortest and fastest game of the women Indian cricket team for international cricket. It is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match. The first WT20I was held in August 2004 between England and New Zealand. In 2009, the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 was held and referred to as the highest-level event in the format. 

In April 2018, the ICC granted full women’s Twenty20 international (WT20I). 

Recently, the ICC announced that the ICC Women’s T20 Champions Trophy will start in 2027.

Mithali Dorai Raj was born on December 3, 1982 (age 40) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. She was also on the India women’s national cricket team from 2004 to 2022. She was the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket. ESPN also ranked Mithali Dorai Raj as the greatest female cricketer of all time. She won Wisden’s Leading Woman Cricketer in the World in 2017. Along with this, Mithali Dorai Raj also won the Arjuna Award in 2003, the Padma Shri in 2015, and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna in 2021. She is the first player on the list of ‘indian women cricket team captains list’ in women’s Twenty20 international (WT20I).

Jhulan Nishit Goswami was born on November 25, 1982 (age 40) in Chakdaha, West Bengal, India. She is also known as Babul and Chakda Express. She played on the Indian women’s cricket team from 2002 to 2022. She is also referred to as the fastest female bowler of all time. She played 204 ODI matches before her retirement. She had won Goswami’s ICC Women’s Player of the Year award in 2007. She was Anjum Chopra.

Anjum Chopra was born on May 20, 1977 (age 46) in New Delhi, India. Currently, she is an Indian cricket commentator. Her debut in one-day internationals was at the age of 17, against New Zealand in Christchurch. She was also the first woman to score 1,000 runs in ODIs.

Harmanpreet Kaur Bhullar was born on March 8, 1989 (age 34) in Moga, Punjab, India. She is also referred to as Harman, as per her Wikipedia page. She is an Indian cricketer who serves as the captain of the India women’s national cricket team in all formats. She also won the Arjuna Award for Cricket in 2017.

Smriti Shriniwas Mandhana was born on July 18, 1996 (age 27) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. BCCI also awarded her ‘the Best Women’s International Cricketer’. She made her test debut in 2014 against England at Wormsley Park.
